I just wondered if there's any new information about mechanisms of acupuncture from the neuroscience viewpoint?

I happened to do some research on this matter during my work on the reflexo-therapy project. Lately, it's been summed up in my book "Reflexo-therapy From Kuznetsov's Applicator to Shakti Mat" so I'm quite happy to answer your question by quoting from my own book.
